County, school, township meetings scheduled

The Board of Education of Iron Mountain Public Schools will meet at 5:30 p.m. today in the Iron Mountain High School Auditorium, 300 West B St., Iron Mountain.

Norway Township Board will hold its regular monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. today at the Norway Township Hall in Vulcan.

The Dickinson County Board of Commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. today in the circuit courtroom of the courthouse in Iron Mountain. The agenda includes the controller’s report.

The North Dickinson County School Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. today in the school library. Agenda items include the hiring of a K-3 early literacy teacher, approval of the course catalog and a change in the board meeting time.

The Breitung Township Board of Trustees will meet at 7 tonight at the township hall in Quinnesec. The agenda includes industrial park property purchase proposals, a contract with the Dickinson County Sheriff Department for police services, and the first reading of a tall grass ordinance.

Waucedah Township Board will meet at 7 tonight at the township hall in Loretto.

Norway City Council will meet at 7 tonight at Norway City Hall.

The Breitung Township Schools Board of Education will meet at 7 tonight in the board room at Woodland Elementary School, 2000 Pyle Drive, Kingsford.

The Iron County Board of Commissioners will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Commissioners Room of the Iron County Courthouse Annex.

Dickinson County Road Commission will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the commission offices, 1107 S. Milwaukee Ave., Iron Mountain. The agenda includes contracts with Bacco Construction for Maple Street and County Road 581 paving.

Dickinson-Iron Intermediate School District Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Conference Room A of the ISD building at 1074 Pyle Drive in Kingsford. Agenda items include filling vacant positions, acting on employee resignations, and obtaining competitive bids.

The Norway-Vulcan Schools Board of Education will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the school’s Media Center.
