Three candidates ran for the honor of being crowned Miss Norway at the Leif Erickson Festival Oct. 12. Candidates, from left, are Callie Paul, Paige Chartier and Mary Slagle. The candidates had to demonstrate a willingness to represent the Norway community with good communication, service, perseverance, respect, understanding, moral character, integrity and kindness. Mary Slagle was selected from a panel of judges to be named this year’s Norway’s Norse Queen. Lorna Flesher, not pictured, was selected as the “Friend of Norway.”
