Niagara parent-teacher conferences Oct. 24

NIAGARA, Wis. — School District of Niagara parent-teacher conferences for 4-year-old kindergarten through 12th grade will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24.

There will be no school for all grades Friday, Oct. 25.

Junior high and high school conferences — sixth through 12th grades — will be Oct. 24 in individual teacher’s classrooms and often last 15 minutes. At the conclusion of the conference, parents may go and meet with other teachers.

Child care will be available beginning at 1 p.m. in the Badger Care room 123 while parents are at conferences.

To schedule a junior high or high school conference, parents are asked to call the high school office: 715-251-4541. Parents may sign up with two teachers.

Parents unable to call are asked to send a note with your child or email your child’s teacher indicating the time you would like to schedule a conference for another day.

In order to schedule a conference for students in 4-year-old kindergarten through fourth grade, parents are asked to return the conference request form that was sent home with your child.

Conferences for students in fifth grade will be in the instructor’s classroom. Mrs. Pahl, Mrs. Sternhagen, Ms. Wagener and Mr. Derwinski will be available by appointment, with conferences lasting 15 minutes for each child. To schedule a conference, parents are asked to call the high school office at 715-251-4541.

Principal Scott Trevillian emphasized the importance of parent involvement in the education of their children. Conferences are an excellent opportunity to meet with staff members, review individual student needs, and offer suggestions or comments that will benefit all students in the School District of Niagara.

Questions about planning your child’s schedule can be directed to counselor Sherri Petschar.
