IRON MOUNTAIN -- A 35-year-old Iron Mountain woman was arrested Wednesday after a reported hit-and-run collision in Iron Mountain.
The crash happened at about 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 2 and Ridgeview, when the woman rear-ended a pickup truck stopped at the traffic light, according to a release from Iron Mountain Director of Police and Fire Services Ed Mattson.
The woman reportedly fled after the crash and the pickup driver followed. Both had minor injuries that did not require medical treatment.
After an investigation, the woman was arrested and taken to the Dickinson County Jail. Her name will be released after arraignment in district court on charges of operating while intoxicated, second offense; leaving the scene of an accident; and probation violation, the release stated.
