Breakfasts, dinners planned in area to mark Veterans Day

A number of area veterans organizations plan to provide meals either Sunday morning or Monday evening with special offers for veterans. They include:

Breakfast set for Sunday at IM Post 50

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Uren-Cooper-Johnson American Legion Post 50 of Iron Mountain will have an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

The post will serve scrambled eggs, pancakes, French toast, ham, bacon, sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, milk, juice and coffee. Cost is $9 for adults, $5 for ages 6 to 10, and free for those age 5 and younger. The post will offer a $1 discount to veterans.

Norway Legion breakfast free for vets

NORWAY — The American Legion Post 145 of Norway will serve an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the hall, 621 Main St. in Norway.

The menu will include scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, hash browns, toast, juice and coffee.

Cost is $7 per person, with children younger than 6 eating for free.

Everyone is welcome. In honor of Veterans Day, breakfast will be free to all veterans.

DCAVA to host

Veterans Day dinner

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson County Area Veterans Alliance will host a veterans dinner Monday at the American Legion Post 50 on River Avenue in Iron Mountain.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m.

Tickets are available for $20 each by calling the Office of Veterans Affairs at 906-774-2820.

Turkey dinner at Hermansville Legion

HERMANSVILLE — The Floriano-Stecker-Kelly American Legion Post 340 of Hermansville will host its annual Veterans Day dinner Monday.

Social hour is from 4 to 5 p.m., with dinner served at 5 p.m.

The catered dinner will include turkey and all the trimmings.

A $5 per person donation is suggested.

All Legion members, Auxiliary members, VVA members, Sons of the American Legion and their spouses and guests are invited.

The American Legion Post 340 and Ladies Auxiliary is sponsoring the event.
