Snow possible in area through the weekend
IRON MOUNTAIN — Sunshine will be sparse the next few days as forecasters predict chances for light snow through the weekend.
After light snow and freezing drizzle today, widespread light snow was expected to develop tonight in the central Upper Peninsula, the National Weather Service said.
Snow is likely Thursday, with new accumulations of 1 to 3 inches from the afternoon through the evening. There is also a 50% chance of snow Friday.
High temperatures today through Friday are expected to be in the low 30s. The forecast for Saturday is cloudy with a high near 35.
