State honors for clerk Cook
Dickinson County Clerk-Register of Deeds Dolly Cook recently celebrated 30 years on the job, making her the current longest-serving county clerk in Michigan. She started her career Nov. 12, 1990. Friends, family, local politicians and community members joined Cook and her staff Feb. 21 for a reception honoring her years of service. Cook, a Democrat, is shown in her office holding a special tribute for “30 years of exemplary public service to the people of Dickinson County” from Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson. State Sen. Ed McBroom, R-Vulcan, presented a second resolution, signed by state lawmakers and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, saluting Cook as one of the most knowledgeable clerks in the state who “freely shares her passion, advocacy and assistance.”
