Youth adventure group to meet Feb. 18 in Norway

Biking, backpacking and canoe trips are among the treks planned this year by High Adventure crew.

NORWAY – High Adventure crew will hold an informational meeting for youth and parents at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 18.

The meeting will be held in Norway at the Harris Energy Building, 1001 Stephenson St. Take the stairs behind the glass door up to the second floor conference room. You may get in touch with Aneta Rietveld at 920-293-1251 with any questions you may have.

The adventuring crew is for boys and girls ages 13- 20 to experience adventures in the form of “silent sports” like backpacking, canoeing, and biking. Youth are guided in their High Adventure treks by two qualified adults per trip who know what they are doing in the outdoors and have a passion for sharing their love of backpacking, canoeing, camping and biking.

The crew supplies all of the gear needed; the youth need only their personal supplies. Costs are kept to a bare minimum and include food, gear, transportation, camping fees and yearly T-shirt. Each trek has a limited number of youth spaces available due to van sizes and National Park limitations.
