Daily News to be delivered by Postal Service

IRON MOUNTAIN — Beginning Monday, The Daily News will be delivered to subscribers by the U.S. Postal Service.

This announcement comes after weeks of meetings with high-level postal officials to arrange for same-day delivery of your newspaper.

“We are happy to be able to partner with the U.S. Postal Service to deliver our newspaper daily in the safest and most dependable way,” said Corky DeRoeck, publisher of The Daily News. “Newspapers across the country are turning to mail delivery as the costs associated with mail delivery have become more attractive.”

DeRoeck said many of The Daily News’ readers will receive their newspapers earlier in the day at their homes with mail delivery.

Also with the change, the digital version of The Daily News will be available to subscribers online by 7 a.m. Central time each day at https://www.ironmountaindailynews.com/.

Subscribers who experience problems with mail delivery of their newspaper should contact The Daily News’ circulation department at 906-774-2772.

“For more than 99 years, The Daily News has brought its readers the news and features they want and expect. This is our mission. It always has been and always will be,” said Betsy Bloom, managing editor.
