IRON MOUNTAIN — A 39-year-old Dickinson County man died as the result of a motorcycle crash Monday night on U.S. 2 near the intersection of County Highway NN in the town of Florence, said Sheriff Dan Miller.

The accident was reported at 7:17 p.m.

The victim was transported first to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital and then to a Green Bay hospital where he died from his injuries, Miller said. Assisting the sheriff’s office were the Florence Volunteer Fire Department, Florence Rescue Squad, and Integrity EMS.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
