IRON MOUNTAIN — Dickinson County District Judge Julie A. LaCost has issued her activity report for the month of December.

New criminal cases for the month included 17 felonies, 15 misdemeanors, 11 OWIL/OUI misdemeanors and one felony drunk driving.

New civil cases for the month included 34 general civil cases, five small claims cases, one landlord/tenant dispute, and one summary proceeding.

New traffic cases included 88 civil infractions, 33 misdemeanors and three non-traffic civil infractions.

Criminal dispositions for the month included one guilty plea to a felony reduced to a misdemeanor, eight felony preliminary exams of which eight were waived over to circuit court, 13 misdemeanors and eight OWI/OUID misdemeanors.

Civil dispositions included 20 general civil and four small claims.

Traffic dispositions included 58 civil infractions and four misdemeanors.

The District Court handled one court trial, eight drug-sobriety court referrals, four defendants were referred to the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, six defendants were referred to alcohol counseling.

Funds turned over to the county treasurer totaled $42,869. Funds turned over to the court trust totaled $4,445.
