Trees For Tomorrow offers maple syrup making programs

EAGLE RIVER, Wis — Trees For Tomorrow Environmental Education Center in Eagle River, Wis. is offering the opportunity to gain hands-on knowledge of maple-syruping.

TFT’s Sustainable Living Institute’s “Making Maple Syrup” program on March 20 provides adults who want to gain the technical knowledge and experience to begin their own sap collecting operations.

Participants will learn about, and experience, every step in the process during this full-day workshop, and leave with collecting kits and a quick-reference guide to get started right away at home. Cost for the program is $80 per person and includes instruction, and take-home materials.

For those with younger children, or who are simply looking to get a brief hands-on introduction to the process, TFT is offering a “Family Nature Adventure” maple syruping morning on March 27, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The morning begins with a pancake breakfast, and participants move through different demonstration stations to observe and participate in each step. Cost for this program is $15 per person, or $50 for a group of 4.

Pre-registration is required for all programs and can be done online at www.TreesForTomorrow.com, email at tft.info@TreesForTomorrow.com or by calling 715-479-6456.
