MARQUETTE –Tracy Johnson from the Great Lakes Recovery Center will present a forum on suicide at 6 p.m. Monday, March 15.

The forum, “The Struggle Within,” will be live on the 108th District Dems Facebook page. This is a free event, and the public is invited and encouraged to attend.

The forum will help answer questions about why suicide is on the rise, what help is available and what to ask or what not to ask.

Johnson has been employed for five years at GLRC, providing services to the youth in Dickinson County. She offers crisis intervention stress management and works closely with area school districts, juvenile courts, Child Protective Services and DHHS. She is a certified Mental Health Sheriff’s Victim Service Unit member.

The critical incident team serves Dickinson, Iron and portions of Wisconsin. She started the Hope2Help suicide awareness walk and formed a coalition to work towards change for mental health.
