IRON MOUNTAIN — Dickinson County District Judge Julie A. LaCost has issued her activity report for the month of February.

New criminal cases for the month included eight felonies, 11 misdemeanors, 13 OWI/OUI misdemeanors and three felony drunk driving.

New civil cases for the month included 26 general civil cases, three small claims cases and three landlord/tenant disputes.

New traffic cases included 97 civil infractions, 21 misdemeanors and 18 non-traffic civil infractions.

Criminal dispositions for the month included one guilty plea to a felony reduced to a misdemeanor, 12 felony preliminary exams of which 12 were waived over to circuit court, nine misdemeanors and 11 OWI misdemeanors.

Civil dispositions included 19 general civil, three small claims and one landlord/tenant.

Traffic dispositions included 62 civil infractions and 14 misdemeanors. There were five non-traffic civil infractions

The district court handled one court trial, seven drug-sobriety court referrals, four defendants were referred to the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, four defendants were referred to alcohol counseling.

Funds turned over to the county treasurer totaled $49,466.47. Funds turned over to the court trust totaled $4,945.
