New IM scoring record

Iron Mountain School District athletic director Donny Bianco, center, congratulates Mountaineers basketball player Foster Wonders after he surpassed the high school’s scoring record of 2,076 points Thursday night against West Iron County. Wonders hit a baseline jump shot midway through the second quarter for his 2,077th point, surpassing Marcus Johnson. He ended the game with 31 points and now is 88 points away from becoming the Upper Peninsula’s all-time leading scorer.
