Today’s “Throwback Thursday” photo shows Dickinson County Courthouse caretaker Gene Alleva in about 1988, entering the tower where he would adjust the courthouse clock for daylight savings time. The photo was taken by Daily News photographer Dave Kallmann. Each week, the newspaper is publishing older images from its files. Last week’s photo of Alice Gray, queen of the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Winter Sports Association arriving in Chicago by train, was from 1939.
