City councils, school boards to have meetings

Iron Mountain City Council will meet at 6 p.m. today at City Hall. The agenda includes consideration of a right-of-way closure for outdoor bar service at Sol Blu and a proposed zoning change regarding maximum building heights in the business district.

Kingsford City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at City Hall. An agenda will be posted at https://cityofkingsford.com/.

Norway City Council is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. today. For more information, go to https://www.norwaymi.gov/.

Florence County School Board will have a special meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Room 259 of Florence High School. A closed session is planned for consideration of several contracts. A second special meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, again in Room 259, with a closed session for an expulsion hearing.

Dickinson-Iron Intermediate School District will conduct a special board meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday at 1074 Pyle Drive, Borga Center, Kingsford.

Norway-Vulcan Schools Board of Education will have a committee of the whole meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the middle school board room.

There will be a special meeting of the Breitung Township Schools Board of Education on Monday, April 12, at 9 a.m. in the Woodland Elementary board room at 2000 Pyle Drive in Kingsford.
