NORWAY– Norway City Band, under the direction of Ed McBroom, is preparing for its 2021 concert season.

Norway City Band has been entertaining and serving the citizens of Norway and the surrounding communities with parades and concerts for 128 consecutive years, a record among municipal bands in Michigan.

Concerts will be on Tuesday nights at the historic Norway Band Shell on Main Street.

The first concert will be June 8, at 7:30 p.m., as well as on these dates at the same time: June 22, July 4, July 13, July 27 and Aug 3.

If you play an instrument, you are invited to be a part of the fun and history. Rehearsals begin Tuesday as well as Tuesday, May 25, from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. in the Norway City Hall basement. Rehearsals will continue on June 1, June 15, June 29, July 6 and July 20. Uniform shirts, hats, ties, and coats are provided and participants receive a stipend at the completion of the season.
