Lindbeck hired as KHS principal

KINGSFORD –David Lindbeck has been hired as the new Kingsford High School principal. He will be starting Thursday.

Lindbeck originally is from Iron River and graduated from West Iron County High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University in 2001, master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and administrative certifications from Concordia University in Wisconsin.

His teaching experience includes four years in residential treatment for students with emotional/behavior disorders in both Illinois and Milwaukee. He also had 10 years of teaching high school special education in Waterford, Wis., and five years in Wausaukee, Wis.

He has been a longtime coach, including basketball, football and powerlifting. Most recently, he was an athletic director, assistant principal and elementary principal at Gladstone Area Public Schools.
