DIDHD: 10 more virus positives in Dickinson, six in Iron

Local health officials Thursday reported 10 new confirmed COVID-19 positives in Dickinson County and six in Iron County in the past week, as virus activity in the region continues to rise.

In addition to the new confirmed positives, the Dickinson-Iron District Health Department in its Facebook post Thursday morning listed three more probable cases in Dickinson County, while Iron County had one probable case and one person considered recovered from the virus.

The DIDHD had Dickinson County at 2,442 confirmed positives and 352 probable cases, with 2,692 recovered, 72 deaths and 30 cases still active. For Iron County, the agency had 1,008 confirmed cases and 74 probables, with 1,010 recovered, 50 deaths and 22 active cases.

For the five Wisconsin counties in the region, the state Department of Health Services’ COVID-19 data site Thursday had six new confirmed positives in both Vilas and Iron counties, and four in Marinette County; Florence County’s count was reduced by one.
