MARQUETTE — A body recovered from Lake Superior on Sunday has been identified as a Marquette man who went missing while kayaking July 21.

Brett Russell Harriman, 40, reportedly had entered Lake Superior with his kayak the afternoon of July 21 near the pavilion at Presque Isle Park in Marquette, according to the Marquette Police Department. His capsized kayak later was located about a half-mile north of Partridge Island.

Police located his body Sunday afternoon near the original search area northwest of Partridge Island.

Foul play is not suspected in the death, police said.
