BREITUNG TOWNSHIP — At least two people were transported to the hospital with injuries after a pickup truck collided with a moped Wednesday morning at East Breitung Avenue and Campbell Street in the East Kingsford areas of Breitung Township.

Deputies with the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office were called to the crash at about 7:55 a.m., but few other details were available on the incident.

Law enforcement and county road workers closed the intersection and routed traffic as emergency medical service personnel transported the injured.

Deputies were assisted by Kingsford Public Safety, the Michigan State Police, Breitung Township Volunteer Fire Department, Dickinson County Road Commission and Integrity Care EMS.
