SepTimber Ride in Eagle River Sept. 11

EAGLE RIVER, Wis. — Now in its seventh year, the SepTimber Ride in Eagle River has a route for all who take part — a 28-mile trail ride, and a 60K or 100K scenic road ride. This great fall event will take place Saturday, Sept. 11. And as with the previous six years, participants can sample local wines and beers.

Beginning and ending at the Tribute Brewing Company in Eagle River, riders have a choice of three self-guided routes. The 100K Northwoods Road Ride begins at 8 a.m., the 60K ride starts at 8:30 a.m., and the 28-mile ride on Three Eagle Trail begins at 9 a.m. All three routes combine fall landscapes, with the 100K and 60K routes weaving through the Chain of Lakes. They also all include a halfway rest stop at Three Lakes Winery for wine sampling.

“SepTimber Ride showcases the beautiful scenery of the Northwoods during the Fall season,” Eagle River Chamber of Commerce Director Kim Emerson said. “This ride isn’t about finishing first, it’s about soaking up the sights along the way.”

A bratwurst picnic complete with brats and beer concludes the event from noon to 3 p.m. at Tribute Brewing Company. A variety of prizes will be raffled off at 1:30 p.m., with the grand prize being a Trek Verve-plus 2 Electric Bike, and second and third prize are a Lifetime Freestyle XL 98 Stand-Up Paddle Board with paddle. Raffle tickets can be purchased in advance at the Eagle River Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center or at the event.

All participants in this event must be 21 years of age or older. Registration for the SepTimber Ride is $60 per person and not refundable. This includes the ride, a long sleeve wick-away event T-shirt (while supplies last), brat picnic admission, door prizes and wine and beer sampling. Participants can register ahead of time or on ride day. It’s recommended all riders wear a CPSC-approved helmet.
