Taking the tree to Lansing
- The 2021 state Christmas tree made a stop Thursday at North Dickinson County Schools in Felch Township enroute from the Upper Peninsula to Lansing. The Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget had the white spruce harvested Wednesday in Gogebic County’s Marenisco Township. The tree now is being hauled downstate by Brzoznowski & Sons of Sagola. After students came out to be photographed with the tree, those going to the state capital had breakfast at the neighboring Nordic Trading Post before going back on the road. (Angel Inglese photo)
