Man accused of killing mother in Antigo found
ANTIGO, Wis. (AP) — A man accused of killing his mother in Antigo has been arrested in southern Wisconsin, according to police.
The Burlington Police Department says officers were notified Derek Goplin was dropped off near Aurora Medical Center on Wednesday evening.
Goplin, 38, is charged in Langlade County with four felonies, including first-degree intentional homicide.
Susan Reese, 63, was found fatally stabbed in her Antigo home Monday morning after police were asked to do a welfare check.
According to court documents, security video taken Sunday afternoon showed Reese and a child outside her home. Goplin then was seen leaving with the child. The child later was found wandering alone at a Waukesha, Wis., motel.
