Wisconsin’s spring election Tuesday will include two contested supervisor seats on the Florence County Board, along with several on the Marinette County Board.

Polling places will open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.

The Florence County races are in District 3, covering parts of the towns of Aurora and Commonwealth, where incumbent Cinde Nichols will be challenged by former board member Jason Neuens; and District 6 in Florence, which has incumbent Charles Kellstrom facing opposition from Jim Gehlhoff.

In Marinette County’s District 1, incumbent Roger Allen of Niagara is challenged by former board member Gilbert Engel, also of Niagara.

Also contested in northern Marinette County are races for the District 3 seat, where incumbent Bill Stankevich of Goodman faces Thomas A. All 30 supervisor seats on the Marinette County Board are expiring, and eight of the races on Tuesday are contested. District boundaries changed slightly due to re-districting after the 2020 census and some district numbers are switching, officials noted.

Three candidates are running unopposed for the Florence County Board of Education: Matt Brooks, Jessica Frost and incumbent Jim Churchill. Incumbents who did not file for re-election are Jim Gehlhoff, who is a candidate for the county board, and Don Dumke.

Three school board candidates are also unopposed on the ballot in Niagara, where incumbents Ann Brasure and Lisa Swanson are seeking re-election. Also on the ballot is Kimberly Champeau-Dumke, while incumbent Patti Sparapani is stepping aside.

In the Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine School District, board incumbents Ryan Berger and Brian Parr have no opposition, while Goodman-Armstrong Creek incumbents Timothy Barribeau and Laura Klescewski are also unopposed.

In the city of Niagara, three city council incumbents are running unopposed: Lisa Lattia, Dan Decker and Glenn Lantagne.
