DIDHD: Two virus cases in Dickinson, one in Iron in week’s time

Local data Thursday reported two new confirmed COVID-19 positives in Dickinson County and one in Iron County in the past seven days.

Iron County also recorded five people reclassified this week as recovered from the virus since the last local update April 7, while Dickinson County had one recovery, according to figures posted Thursday on the Dickinson-Iron District Health Department’s Facebook page.

The DIDHD on Thursday had Dickinson County at 5,003 confirmed positives and 2,384 probable cases to date, with 7,258 recovered, 110 deaths and 19 cases still active. For Iron County, the agency had 2,316 confirmed cases to date and 338 probables, with 2,562 recovered, 86 deaths and six active cases.

The DIDHD updates its COVID-19 figures once a week, usually on Thursdays.

For the five Wisconsin counties in the region, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services on Thursday had Marinette County at 11,608 COVID-19 positives, up three since Wednesday, and 123 deaths; Vilas County, 5,221 positives, up two, and 89 deaths; Forest County, unchanged at 2,672 positives and 52 deaths; Iron County, 1,468 positives, up one, and 47 deaths; and Florence County, unchanged at 1,081 positives and 16 deaths.
