Dunkin’ comes to Iron Mountain
Margaret and Ken Linsenbigler of Vulcan purchase food from Kalie Johnson during the open house Thursday for the new Dunkin’ restaurant at Stephenson Avenue and East F Street in Iron Mountain. The store actually opened Tuesday and has seen strong sales so far, serving up roughly 300 dozen doughnuts a day, said Regional Supervisor Kevin Kane of Wausau, Wis. Turnout for Thursday’s event, which included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, rivaled what they drew the first day, Kane said. This is the 50th store in their franchise operation, which now has three in the Upper Peninsula — Marquette and Menominee-Marinette, Wis. have the other two — along with locations in Wisconsin and northern Minnesota. This likely will rank among its top five grand openings, Kane said. Stephanie Wicklund of Iron Mountain is the local general manager. (Marguerite Lanthier/Daily News photo)
