NORWAY – A power outage in the Norway-Vulcan area that lasted about an hour Sunday was due to an equipment failure at a transformer, said Norway City Manager Dan Stoltman.

The first failure led to another, which caused a widespread Norway Department of Power & Light outage at about 5 p.m.

“We are working on solutions to make sure that the domino effect doesn’t happen again,” Stoltman said Tuesday.
