IRON MOUNTAIN -- Michigan State Police at the Iron Mountain post are assisting Green Bay, Wis., authorities with an ongoing homicide investigation while trying to locate a suspect who may be in the Upper Peninsula.
The suspect is believed to have stolen the victim's vehicle, troopers said Tuesday. The suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous, may be driving a dark blue, 2013 Ford Fiesta with Wisconsin registration 207HUH.
Anyone who sees this vehicle is asked to contact the post at 906-774-2122 or 911.
Green Bay Police confirmed they were investigating a "suspicious death" on Packerland Drive on the city's west side.
According to WBAY-TV, officers were asked at 8:29 a.m. Tuesday to check on someone's welfare at Mission Hill Apartments, across the street from Southwest High School. Police found a person dead at the address.
Green Bay Police Commander Kevin Warych told WBAY-TV that anyone who sees the Ford Fiesta should call local police immediately.
"We want to locate that vehicle because we believe that the person responsible or the person who has a vehicle or anybody associated with that vehicle may have information that may help investigators understand why the death occurred," Warych said.
