ONTONAGON — The Michigan State Police Calumet Post is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that took place early Friday morning in Ontonagon County.

At about 3:45 a.m. Friday, troopers from the post were dispatch to the crash on M-38 near FF1980. Once on site, troopers located a deceased male in the vehicle.

Factors leading up to the crash are unknown. The name of the subject will not be released until next of kin is notified.

Troopers from the Calumet Post were assisted by MSP Wakefield Post, Sonco Ambulance, the Ontonagon County Sheriff’s office, and fire departments from Greenland and the village of Ontonagon.
