Ready to take the Tour
Participants line up in Lake Antoine Park for the start Saturday morning of the 2022 Tour de Dickinson. Most of the tour’s events began and ended at the park, and the 11.5-mile Family Fun Ride stayed along the lake’s edge. Both cyclists and runners could opt for a more extensive trip through the county, including up to 62 miles, or 100 kilometers. Riders from across the community and tourists from nearly eight different states were expected to participate and enjoy the amenities the area has to offer throughout the weekend, including free admission to Italian Fest later Saturday. The ride is coordinated by the Dickinson Trail Network, a group of individuals dedicated to creating county-wide bike paths and trails. All money raised from the Tour de Dickinson supports the bike paths and trail systems, plus other activities that include path/trail development and maintenance. (Jackie Granquist photo)
