Crafty Flea Market today at Lake Antoine
IRON MOUNTAIN — The fifth-ever Crafty Flea Market will go from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today — rain or shine — at the Lake Antoine Campground and Park in Iron Mountain.
Vendors Candy Tyler, and Terri Applekamp were at the park Friday to get their merchandise set up for the outdoor event. They will offer a large variety of blankets, shirts, hand towels and more.
The sisters have been event vendors for four years and have previously dealt with weather issues.
“One year, a customer bought a blanket right off of their backs because she like the pattern and it was a little chilly outside,” said Jennifer Flynn, circulation manager for The Daily News.
“With four days of rain in the forecast, the decision was made to continue with the show as originally scheduled.” Flynn also thanks everyone for their continued support of not only this show, but for our Newspapers in Education Program and Lake Antoine Park Partners. “Without the community support events like these would not be possible,” she adds.
All 78 sites are sold out, offering a wide variety of crafts, homemade goods and other items. Admission is a $2 donation per person, with no charge for ages 10 and younger, at the main entrance at N3393 Quinnesec-Lake Antoine Road.
