Teaching about bees
Local beekeepers and mentors Bernie Driggs and Kathy Hart visited kindergarten classes at Iron Mountain’s North Elementary School on Friday. The classes were educated on the basics of pollination and the importance of pollinators. “When I was a child, I got interested in bees and other insects. Even younger children can understand the basics and, importantly, not to be afraid,” Hart explained. (Submitted photo)
