Third Thursdays are back in downtown Iron Mountain, with a twist this year: Each month will feature “micro events,” with different locations and activities to highlight downtown businesses. Those who shop, dine or have a drink at any participating small businesses can earn raffle tickets toward giveaways during these micro events. Thursday, the Downtown Development Authority got the community ready for Oktoberfest at The Wild Horse Saloon with Bryan Drewyor the One Human Band. The Wild Horse saloon served Oktoberfest fare and had some Oktoberfest beers available. Participants enjoyed polka music and were able to buy presale tickets for Oktoberfest, set for Saturday, Oct. 1.
