Veterans were invited earlier to sign up for a free flight on the bomber. Dennis Lange of Fond du Lac, Wis., an EAA volunteer, said they anticipated having five flights Friday with about eight people each. About 80 veterans attended the Tribute to Veterans program Friday with their families, triple the number in the past. The B-25 Mitchell bomber and the A-26 Invader “The Silver Dragon” will be featured at the 19th-annual Ford Airport Day event from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the airport in Kingsford.
