Walk to End Alzheimer’s
Community members joined together Tuesday to help raise awareness and funds to help find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. The Cornish Pumping Engine Museum and World War II Glider and Military Museum was this year’s host for the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Walkers received a Promise Garden Flower, which represents their connection to the devastating disease. Blue represents someone living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia, purple is for those who lost someone to the disease, yellow is someone currently supporting or caring for a person living with the disease and orange is for those who supports the cause and the Alzheimer’s Association’s vision. From left, participants included Beth Wilmers, Sue Tinti, Michele Boehmer, Janet Terwilliger, Mary Tuomela, Julia Berglund with granddaughter Charlotte Redding, Judy Sanicki and Abbigail Berglund.
