Johnathan Rand presented a motivational and fun presentation Monday at Woodland Elementary School in Kingsford. The author of the series of “Michigan Chillers” and “American Chillers” books talked to the students about the importance of reading and writing. The Woodland stop, along with other area schools, including Niagara Elementary, Bishop Baraga Catholic School, North Dickinson Elementary, Norway-Vulcan Elementary, Iron Mountain North Elementary and the Dickinson County Public Library was made possible thanks to the sponsorship of Elsa Brule. She also donated books to the schools and to Kingsford Middle School.
