NAHMA TOWNSHIP -- A woman died Friday in an off-road vehicle rollover crash Friday in Delta County.
The Michigan State Police troopers from the Gladstone post were sent about 3:30 p.m. Friday to 27.25 Road near KK Road in Nahma Township, where they found a dead female underneath a Polaris RZR ORV.
The woman, a passenger in the vehicle, was identified as 52-year-old LeeAnne Moore of Rapid River. The driver, also from Rapid River, had several injuries after being ejected from the ORV but none appeared to be life-threatening, the MSP stated.
An investigation showed the ORV was westbound on 27.25 Road near KK Road when a blown tire is believed to have caused a loss of control. The ORV then rolled, ejecting both people.
Neither the driver nor passenger was wearing a seat belt or helmet. Speed is thought to be a factor in this crash, which remains under investigation.
Troopers were assisted by Garden Fire/EMS, Nahma Fire/EMS and Rampart EMS.
