Kathy and Bill Counter of Aurora, Wis., met “Jeopardy!” champion Ben Chan, center, a philosophy professor at St. Norbert College, at graduation ceremonies in De Pere, Wis. Chan won his eighth game Friday and added $14,800 to his total, which now stands at $227,800. So far, all eight of Chan’s wins have been runaways, a feat that has never been accomplished before in the history of the show. The Counters attended the graduation of their granddaughter, Katrina Counter, the daughter of Mike and Mary Counter of Appleton, Wis., on May 14 at St. Norbert. Chan will go for win No. 9 on “Jeopardy!” today.
