Ready for Lemonade Day
The Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce has partnered with its sponsors to bring Lemonade Day to Iron Mountain on Saturday. Lemonade Day is a free, community-wide education program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their own business — a lemonade stand. The chamber encourages the community to go out Saturday and purchase lemonade from the young entrepreneurs. The public can go to the Lemonade Day Dickinson website at lemonadeday.org/Dickinson-county-mi to locate stands on a map. A class at North Elementary School on Thursday showed off their Lemonade Day T-shirts for the event – from left, in front are Lydia Dzwiecki, James Powell, Desmond Garcia, Anthony Lorenzoni, Sophia Hayes, Emma Adams, Maya Meno, Nora Hartwig and Hunter Anderson; in back are Charleigh Beurgey, Esperanza Martinez, Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Suzanne Larson, Bella Geneva, Joe Powell, Cale Punzel, Eloise Johnson, Ellen Dabb and teacher Dale Powell.
