Trevillian awarded Harden Scholarship from NMU

KINGSFORD — Benjamin Trevillian, a senior at Kingsford High School, has received the prestigious Harden Scholarship at Northern Michigan University.

This scholarship will cover flat-rate tuition, most required fees, and on-campus room and board for four years. He was also granted automatic acceptance in the Honors Program at NMU.

To be selected for this award, he participated in the Presidential Scholars Competition, designed for academically talented high school seniors to compete for 16 “full-ride” Harden scholarships, 60 Waldo Scholarships ($3,000 per year), 10 Leadership awards ($2,000 per year), and 140 Kaye-Munson awards ($1,000 per year). This year was NMU’s largest competition with 500 students participating.

Trevillian has invested himself in numerous school activities during his high school years. He is involved in many leadership positions and organizations, all while earning a 4.111 cumulative GPA during his high school career and being ranked number 1 in his graduating class.

He is the son of Kevin and Sara Trevillian of Breitung Township. He intends to major in the field of biology.
