Township paving projects coordinated by the Dickinson County Road Commission are underway, including work on Sagola streets set to begin Thursday or Friday.

Payne and Dolan of Gladstone is contractor for the Sagola work, while Bacco Construction Co. of Iron Mountain has the other projects, said Jim Harris, commission managing director.

The tentative schedule includes:

— Turner’s Grade Road/Grand Oak Drive, Breitung Township, pulverizing and shaping June 19-21; paving, June 22, 23 or 26.

— Six Mile Lake Road, Felch Township, early to mid-July.

— South Spruce Street and Ball Road, Norway Township, early to mid-September.

— Swede Settlement Road, Waucedah Township, early to mid-September.

A project on Harry Peterson Road in Breen Township was expected to be completed this week.

No date has been set for paving on Old Carney Lake Road and Haystack View Drive in Breitung Township.
