WAUSAUKEE, Wis. –The 95th Marinette County Fair — offering a full four days of events, entertainment and attractions — is set for Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 24-27, at the fairgrounds in Wausaukee.

Several improvements have been made at the fairgrounds during the offseason, fair board president Mario Ruiz and Secretary Lisa Witak told the county board this past spring. An anonymous donation provided funds to add to concrete the cattle show barn and with a donation by Birr’s Concrete and Masonry of Pound, Wis., they were able to repair the walkway in the horse barn and pig and sheep show arena.

An old library building adjacent to the fairgrounds was razed to become additional parking space. They also plan to fix some of the buildings that need repairs and build permanent ticket booths.

Witak reported 29,000 people attended the fair in 2022, up from the previous year.

New to the fair this year is the Otter Adventure from Mulberry Grove, Ill., an interactive educational water show featuring performing otters. Shows will take place daily, with times to be determined.
