The DayDreamers play two shows Thursday

The DayDreamers will perform Thursday in Iron Mountain and Norway.

NORWAY — This week, Music in the Park will bring the 2023 season to a close as it again partners with Iron Mountain’s Out to Lunch for the third and final Double Header concert of the summer. The DayDreamers will perform for the tenth and final concert at both venues.

The free summertime music series will conclude with performances from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Thursday in downtown Iron Mountain and 7 p.m. at the bandshell in downtown Norway.

The DayDreamers, from Marquette, will bring an awesome performance to music fans. Delivering hits from yesterday and today, the Daydreamers’ full five- piece band has over 100 years of combined musical experience. Centered in and around Marquette, they have performed in a variety of venues and festivals across the Upper Peninsula, including Grand Marais, Forestville and Marquette’s Sea Food Fest.

The duo of frontline singers, Jack Bauer and Nick Johnson, both on guitar and vocals, will keep you tapping your toes and asking for more. The band also features top-shelf musicians on bass, drums and keyboards –all of whom will be introduced during their show, and they will have Band Shell Park rocking.

The band looks very forward to playing for great Dickinson County audiences in both Iron Mountain and Norway on Thursday.

“We hope folks that come into Iron Mountain for this week’s ‘Out to Lunch’ concert with the DayDreamers, will enjoy the afternoon, have a nice dinner in the area and come on down to beautiful bandshell park for this our final performance of this summer’s fabulous series, as the band gets to “stretch out” for a full 90 minute show — bring your dancing shoes,” event coordinator Carol Sundstrom said.

Music in the Park is grateful for the major financial support received from several organizations, businesses and individuals this year, without whom this concert series would not be possible: Norway Township, Chris’ Powersports – Norway, Jim’s Music of Iron Mountain, Carrie Toretta-Partello Coldwell-Banker Real Estate Group, Iron Mountain, The Curtis J. Brackett Memorial Foundation, Law Offices of Steven Tinti – Norway, Law Offices of Mouw and Celello, Iron Mountain, Ann Schrader, Financial Advisor with Edward Jones in Norway, The Tourism Association of the Dickinson County Area, Larry and Kathy Bourdeau and numerous individual and anonymous supporters. Media support by The Daily News, The ADvertiser and WJNR-WOBE-WHTO Results Radio is also greatly appreciated.

Music in the Park is grateful to the fantastic audiences that have come out all summer to enjoy the music, Sundstrom added.

In case of inclement weather, concerts will be held at the Crossroads Church (Grace United Methodist/Bethany Lutheran) on Odill Drive, behind the Norway Historical Museum on the east edge of Norway.

Change of venue announcements are made via the Music in the Park facebook page, usually by 5 p.m. the night of the show. Just type in Norway Music in the Park on your Facebook search bar.
