IRON MOUNTAIN -- Dickinson County District Judge Julie A. LaCost has issued her activity report for the month of August.
New criminal cases for the month included 13 felonies, 16 misdemeanors, one felony drunk driving and 10 OWI/OUID misdemeanors.
New civil cases for the month included 22 general civil cases, 10 small claims cases, one summary proceeding and four landlord/tenant disputes.
New traffic cases included 81 civil infractions, 11 misdemeanors and six non-traffic civil infractions.
Criminal dispositions for the month included two felony guilty pleas, eight felony preliminary exams, with eight waived over to circuit court, 10 misdemeanors and eight OWI/OUID misdemeanors.
Civil dispositions included nine general civil, seven small claims, and two landlord/tenant.
Traffic dispositions included 65 civil infractions and 10 misdemeanors. There were seven non-traffic civil infractions.
The district court handled four court trials, five probation violation hearing, four drug-sobriety court referrals, five defendants were referred to the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, one defendant was referred to the shoplifters counseling program, eight defendants were referred to the sheriff work van, and nine defendants were referred to alcohol counseling.
There was one show cause hearing and one marriage ceremony.
Funds turned over to the Dickinson County treasurer totaled $57,245.61. Funds turned over to the court trust totaled $17,959.31.
