LAPP ice cream social set

An ice cream social is planned before tonight’s monthly meeting of Lake Antoine Park Partners. The public is invited to see two of the organization’s biggest projects in 2023. Those interested can see the completed history wall that members of the community helped create, plus have a chance to talk with its creators from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. today at the park’s beach house at N3933 Quinnesec-Lake Antoine Road in Iron Mountain. The pictorial display of the people, businesses and groups that shaped this part of the Upper Peninsula and northern Wisconsin was funded in part by Dickinson Area Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization established in 1995. DACF promotes philanthropy, receives and administers charitable gifts and invests in programs that improve the quality of life in the Dickinson County area by promoting charity, education and culture in the community. The second big project of LAPP is the development of a butterfly garden on the lake side of the beach house; it is in full bloom for folks to visit.

Starting at $3.50/week.
