Government boards to meet this week

Florence County Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. today in the Florence High School auditorium. The agenda includes the 2023-24 budget and tax levy. The district’s annual meeting will be at 6 p.m., also in the auditorium. There will be a presentation and hearing on the budget.
Norway Township Planning Commission will meet at 5:30 p.m. today at the township hall in Vulcan.
Dickinson County Board will meet at 6 p.m. today at the courthouse in Iron Mountain. The agenda includes a resolution in support of the people’s right to keep and bear arms and opposition to unconstitutional laws infringing on that right. For more, go to https://www.dickinsoncountymi.gov/.

Kingsford Planning Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at Kingsford City Hall.
Iron Mountain City Council will meet at noon Tuesday at Iron Mountain City Hall. The agenda includes a proposed lead service line replacement project aided by a $4.58 million state grant and loan offer.
Breitung Township Schools will have an informational meeting on its Nov. 7 bond proposal at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Kingsford High School auditorium.
