KINGSFORD -- The Kingsford High School Marching Band, under the direction of Jacob Barnby and Marc Rose, is hosting a marching band show open to the public at 6 p.m. on Friday on Flivver Field.
The band will perform the entire 2023 "Thriller" Halftime Show, the seniors will perform their Senior Song, and the drumline will premiere the performance they've been working on all semester.
Admission is free, but the band is accepting donations towards the purchase of new drumline equipment.
This is all in preparation for their Band Day exhibition the following day in Northern Michigan University's Superior Dome.
The Flivvers will join the Wildcat marching band and 16 other high schools for a massed band performance during halftime, and will perform "Thriller" after the game as part of a show that features the hard work of many high school marching bands around the upper and lower peninsulas.
Kickoff against the Grand Valley State University Lakers begins at 1 p.m. Eastern time.
