The Downtown Development Authority hosted its annual Christmas Walk and Community Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday evening in downtown Iron Mountain. The event included Santa and Mrs. Claus greeting children at the Dickinson County Library before catching a ride with the Iron Mountain Fire Department to lead the parade to First National Bank & Trust's outdoor plaza on Ludington Street, where they helped the crowd count down to lighting the community Christmas tree. Bishop Baraga Catholic School also had a live Nativity scene at the downtown Systems Control stage across from the library. This community event was sponsored by IM DDA, First National Bank & Trust, Dickinson County Library, Radio Results Network, Big Red Barn and Bacco Construction.
